Vietnam arrests 8 pirates who fled from a Malaysian ship.

Coast Guard officers have arrested eight pirates who escaped from the Malaysian vessel Orkim Harmony as it passed through the Gulf of Thailand.

On the afternoon of June 19th, via telephone, Colonel Doan Bao Quyet - Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 - confirmed that the coast guard had arrested eight pirates who escaped from the Malaysian ship Orkim Harmony as it passed through the Gulf of Thailand.

Mr. Quyet stated that the coast guard is currently escorting the eight pirates from Tho Chu Island to the port of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command in Phu Quoc for investigation and prosecution.
