VNPT Nghe An accompanies the development of its customers.
(Baonghean)In 2013, VNPT Nghe An was one of the top 10 units in terms of business results within the VNPT Group, and was recommended to the Government for the Outstanding Leading Unit Flag. It was also recognized as a company with many community-oriented activities. On the occasion of the New Year 2014, a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper had an interview with Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of VNPT Nghe An.
PV:Could you please tell us about the achievements of VNPT Nghe An in 2013?
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy:In the context of still challenging socio-economic conditions, increasingly fierce competition in the telecommunications and IT market, and changing technological trends, the emergence of OTT applications allowing free calls and messages has significantly impacted the operations of businesses in the telecommunications and IT sector. However, thanks to the guidance and support of the VNPT Group, the effective assistance of the local government, the trust of customers, and the efforts of all staff and employees, VNPT Nghe An has successfully completed its 2013 tasks. Particularly, after many years of effort, VNPT Nghe An has made a breakthrough, rising to the Top 10 leading units of VNPT in terms of production and business results, achieving revenue of nearly 760 billion VND, a 12% increase compared to 2012. Internal profit reached over 21.5 billion VND, an increase of 48.5 billion VND compared to 2012; and tax contributions to the state budget amounted to 42 billion VND, a 17% increase. This ensures employment for 1,100 workers with an average income of 6.5 million VND per person per month.

PV:As a unit actively involved in community activities for many years, could you please tell us about VNPT Nghe An's community-oriented activities in 2013?
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy:VNPT Nghe An is always aware of its responsibility to the community, demonstrating this through practical actions. In 2013, VNPT Nghe An spent nearly 2 billion VND on meaningful programs such as: "Caring for the Mekong Delta," awarding scholarships to disadvantaged students who excel in their studies; supporting flood victims; celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of districts and towns; sponsoring events, etc. During the 2014 New Year, VNPT Nghe An contributed 200 million VND to the "Tet for the Poor" program. VNPT Nghe An always strives to improve its business efficiency to be able to participate more actively and effectively in community-oriented activities to show gratitude and share with those in difficult circumstances.
PV:The telecommunications and IT market is becoming increasingly competitive. Could you please tell us about the strengths of VNPT Nghe An?
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy:With a history of 68 years, VNPT Nghe An is a member of VNPT – a powerful economic group in the country, with a reputation and brand already established in the market. VNPT Nghe An is a leading enterprise in the area with the capacity to provide the most comprehensive telecommunications and IT services with quality standards that meet requirements, including services such as: VinaPhone mobile phones; fixed-line phones; MegaVNN high-speed internet; Fiber VNN fiber optic internet; MyTV multimedia television; VNPT-CA digital signature authentication, leased lines, data transmission... VNPT Nghe An currently has more than 1 million customers, and 100% of Party and government agencies, businesses, and organizations use VNPT's services. VNPT Nghe An's telecommunications network infrastructure has been modernized and synchronously invested in, covering rural, remote, and mountainous areas. Fiber optic cables have been extended to almost all communes in the province, with a total length of over 5,000 km and nearly 100,000 connection ports, ensuring high-speed internet service to 98% of communes throughout the province. VNPT's mobile network has nearly 1,200 2G and 3G BTS stations, covering 100% of communes. The fixed-line network has 250 satellite exchanges with a capacity of 500,000 numbers. VNPT Nghe An has 20 branches in all districts, cities, and towns in the province, with facilities, networks, and personnel to meet all telecommunications and IT service needs. The distribution channel system has more than 2,000 service points, ready to deliver products and services to customers in the most convenient way.
PV:To further maintain and enhance VNPT's position in the area, could you please tell us about VNPT Nghe An's future directions?
Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy:Firstly, implement the VNPT restructuring plan as directed by the Government, reorganizing the organizational structure, network, and workforce to ensure comprehensive operational efficiency across all areas. Secondly, continue to invest in and strengthen the network capacity, both in breadth and depth, to adequately meet customer needs. 2014 is designated as the Year of Telecommunications Service Quality, with action programs being vigorously implemented throughout the system. Thirdly, strengthen customer care; strongly shift from passive to proactive customer service by shortening new installation times, resolving issues, and advising customers on the use of telecommunications and IT services. Fourthly, boost mobile, broadband, data, and value-added services with mechanisms that create strong incentives for sales channels, ensuring a service growth rate of at least 12%. Fifth, optimize costs to ensure business efficiency, striving for at least a 30% growth in internal profit. Sixth, VNPT Nghe An defines its sustainable development perspective as ensuring employment, improving income for employees, contributing increasingly to the provincial budget, and actively participating in community-oriented activities.
VNPT Nghe An is making every effort to overcome difficulties and challenges, develop steadily, affirm VNPT's position in the area, and always accompany the development of the province and its customers, living up to the unit's tradition of being twice awarded the title of Hero and the support of the provincial government and people.
