Unreasonable beating and disturbing public order in An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district

(Baonghean.vn) -At around 10:30 a.m. on November 12, 2016, on provincial road 537B, about 10 meters from the headquarters of the People's Committee of An Hoa commune (Quynh Luu district), there was an incident of beating someone for no reason and disturbing public order.

According to a source from Nghe An newspaper, at the above mentioned time, students of An Hoa Secondary School started to leave school, the number of students participating in traffic on Highway 537B, Km4+600 section was very large, at the same time a black car (with 3 people on board) with license plate 37A-154.61 passed by.

Going in the same direction as car 37A-154.61, Nguyen Van Luc, a 9D student at An Hoa Secondary School, was riding his friend's bicycle in front of the car. The driver of the car rolled down the window, threatened Nguyen Van Luc, and asked him to stop. Then, he got out of the car, grabbed his collar, and slapped and hit Luc repeatedly on the face and head. At that time, Mr. Ho Vinh Lai (living in Quyet Thang hamlet, An Hoa commune) passed by and saw the incident and came to stop the driver from hitting Luc.

About 5 minutes later, a group of dozens of people carrying knives, sticks, and iron pipes appeared and chased and beat Mr. Lai, causing him to be seriously injured in the head and faint on the spot. Only when Mr. Lai's family came to beg the group did they stop.

Mr. Lai is being treated at Quynh Luu Hospital with many injuries on his body.

After the incident, Mr. Ho Vinh Lai's family took him to Quynh Luu Hospital for emergency treatment (Mr. Lai suffered from pain and swelling due to multiple injuries all over his body and had to have many stitches on his head and in his mouth); Nguyen Van Luc panicked, complained of a headache, had to miss school, and his family had to take him to Quynh Luu Hospital for treatment.

Nguyen Van Luc still has a headache and is still scared.

The above incident has caused outrage and anger among the public and people of An Hoa commune about the hooliganism, unwarranted beating of children and even beating of people who tried to stop it.
