Pretend to buy a car, ask to test drive then run away

Coming to a motorbike shop to buy an expensive Exciter, Nguyen Quoc Thanh asked to test drive the new bike, left his old bike at the shop as collateral, then took the bike and ran away.

On February 15, the Mo Cay Nam District Police, Ben Tre Province, said that the unit is temporarily detaining Nguyen Quoc Thanh (24 years old, residing in Thoi Thanh Commune, Thanh Phu District, Ben Tre Province) to investigate the act of abusing trust to appropriate property.

According to the police, at around 12:30 on February 14, Nguyen Quoc Thanh went to the used motorbike shop of Mr. Le Van Trien - Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre pretending to buy a blue Exciter and offered to let him test drive the bike.

With Trien's consent, Thanh drove straight to Thanh Phu district. Realizing he had been tricked, Trien called the police. The police of Huong My commune, Mo Cay Nam district, blocked the road and arrested Thanh and the car, handing it over to the Mo Cay Nam district police for handling.

At the police station, Thanh confessed his intention to appropriate property.
