"Over the past few days, my children and I have tried to endure, but today I have to admit that my children and I could not withstand the pressure from you, from public opinion and society," Ms. Tam wrote.

However, according to her, her children and grandchildren are not guilty. "This incident is like a life sentence for our family, it will be a painful memory that I will never forget for the rest of my life," she wrote.

In recent days, many people have come to paint, throw dirt, take pictures and post pictures of the house on Le Loi Street on social media.
