The boxer left the ring just one second after the opening gong.

The fight between American boxer Curtis Harper and Nigerian boxer Efe Ajagba was scheduled to last one second. Immediately after the opening bell, Harper walked out of the ring and walked out of the arena. The referee disqualified Harper and awarded the win to Ajagba.

Harper revealed to journalist Jordan Hardy of Premier Boxing Champions, which broadcast the fight, that the reason for leaving the game was because he "wasn't paid properly and didn't receive respect".

However, Harper's reason did not receive sympathy even from his training partner - Nate Campbell. "He disrespected himself, his wife, his fans and me," Campbell wrote on social media.

Footage of Harper entering the ring was shared on social media by former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis. Dave Coldwell, who trains British boxer Tony Bellew, said he had never seen anything like it in his career.
