French President's wife reveals 'trouble' of marrying a man 25 years younger
French President Emmanuel Macron's wife speaks out for the first time about her marriage to a husband 25 years her junior.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Mrs. Brigitte Macron (64 years old) admitted that she is always reminded of the age gap every morning when she wakes up and sees her husband, President Macron (39 years old).

"Honestly, I can't say anything about our life. Of course we had breakfast together, I had wrinkles on my face and he was full of life. And that's how it is. If I didn't accept that, how could I live?", Mrs. Macron confided.
"Macron's only flaw is that he is younger than me," the French President's wife joked.
She also mentioned the French people putting pressure on Mr Macron to abandon plans to make her First Lady and said she was not too concerned about that.
"I don't feel like a First Lady. It's an American translation and I don't like it at all."
In fact, Mr Macron wants his wife to be more formally recognized when she goes about her daily duties. However, more than 300,000 people have signed an online petition "against the position of First Lady for Brigitte Macron".

Despite this, Brigitte Macron says she has no regrets about moving to the Elysee Palace.
She said she would post a job description online, stressing that she does charity work and fulfills her commitments without being paid.
"Like others before me, I will assume my public role, but the French people will know what tools are at my disposal to carry out my mission," she said.
"I will post my meetings with my commitments on the presidential website so that the French people know exactly what I am doing. It is important that everything is transparent."
Brigitte, a retired teacher, first met her future husband when he was a student in her drama class in the town of Amiens, northern France. The two defied the distance of time and space to come together.
Although she is 25 years older than her husband, she still knows how to make herself not be overshadowed thanks to her youthful dressing style and scientific exercise and diet regimen.
"When I read about us, I always have the impression that I am reading someone's love story because ours is very simple," said the French President's wife.
"If I don't make that choice, I will miss an opportunity in my life."
The French President and his wife currently have no children together and are on vacation in Marseilles.
