During the home team's away match against Hanoi FC, nearly 2,000 Hai Phong fans caused the match to have 8 minutes of extra time due to their unsightly actions in the stands. Flares were continuously lit by Hai Phong fans and then thrown onto the field, causing the My Dinh Stadium Organizing Committee to have an extremely hard day's work. The uncontrolled words and actions of Hai Phong fans were certainly reported by the match supervisor to the tournament Organizing Committee for a solution.

The match between Hanoi and Hai Phong in round 14 of V.League deserved to be the center of attention because of its dramatic nature. However, this match left a bad impression when defender Sam Ngoc Duc had a very rough tackle with both feet on defender Anh Hung of Hai Phong.
Fortunately for the visiting defender, Ngoc Duc's kick hit his shin, otherwise his leg, which had been broken once, would have been difficult to heal. However, at the end of the match, Anh Hung had to cry because of his bruised leg. Referee Cong Khanh gave a red card to the Hanoi defender for this malicious tackle.
Vinh Stadium and Thong Nhat Stadium are "bottom of the list" in terms of audience numbers.
This round witnessed the indifference of Ho Chi Minh City fans and SLNA fans. If Thong Nhat Stadium only had 1,000 spectators coming to support the team of which Le Cong Vinh is the acting president, Vinh Stadium only welcomed 2,500 spectators.
This is really a sign of lack of optimism before the return leg of V.League. Pleiku, Thanh Hoa and My Dinh stadiums saved V.League from a gloomy round with about 8,000 to 10,000 fans warming up the matches.

Teams with advantages in the championship race such as FLC Thanh Hoa, Hanoi and Quang Nam all won in round 14. The return of hometown boy Le Van Thang helped the Thanh team to struggle to defeat SHB Da Nang 3-2 right at home.
Defending champion Hanoi also easily won 3 points against Hai Phong, while Quang Nam crushed S. Khanh Hoa 3-0 right on the opponent's field. However, FLC Thanh Hoa and Hanoi are widening the gap with the teams below by 4-6 points.
Long An sinks to the bottom of the rankings
Despite significantly strengthening their squad after the first leg, coach Nguyen Minh Phuong and his team could not keep even 1 point against Ho Chi Minh City Club and sank to the bottom of the rankings with only 5 points. The player valued at 9 billion VND, Da Sylva, who Cong Vinh recruited, played extremely well. He had 2 classy free kicks that helped the home team win 3-2.
XSKT Can Tho is not doing any better, the team ranked only above Long An received a 1-2 defeat on Saigon field and accepted to stay at the second to last position on the rankings with only 8 points.
