In the match against Swansea, manager Brendan Rodgers ofLiverpoolhad to take away some key players such as Steven Gerrard (not registered to play), Simon Mignolet, Mario Balotelli... But against a very tenacious away team, the "Red Brigade" encountered countless difficulties in the first 45 minutes. The most disappointing player was new signing Lazar Markovic with many clumsy ball handling and sloppy finishing. A typical situation was when he had the ball in Swansea's 16m50 box, he kicked straight into the stands even though no one was marking him.

Emnes helps Swansea break the deadlock

Unable to find a way to penetrate Tremmel's net, Liverpool fans fell silent after Emnes broke free and finished delicately into the far corner, leaving goalkeeper Brad Jones helpless. 1-0 to Swansea in the 65th minute.

After being behind, Liverpool played coherently and put tremendous pressure on the visitors' field. In the 86th minute, Borini made a perfect pass on the right wing toMario Balotelli rushes in and shoots fiercely, equalizing 1-1. The important goal of "Super Mario" helped him relieve some of the psychological pressure after criticism of his recent performance, and at the same time opened up a chance for the home team to win in the little time left in the second half.

Balotelli has ended his goal drought.

In the 90+2 minute, Swansea were down to 10 men after centre-back Fernandes received a red card and was sent off. Exactly 3 minutes later, new centre-back Lovren headed the ball precisely, sealing a deserved 2-1 victory for the home team Liverpool.

Chelsea struggle to win against Shrewsbury Town

In fact, Chelsea played a deadlocked first 45 minutes against Shrewsbury Town's strong, focused and courageous play. It was even the home team that created the first dangerous chance when Knight-Percival jumped high to head a corner kick in the 4th minute, forcing Petr Cech to dive to save the goal right on the goal line.

In the 48th minute, veteran Didier Drogba marked his impressive form recently with a goal to open the score 1-0 from Salah's pass. It seemed like Shrewsbury would lose their spirit after conceding a goal, but the home team still played with enthusiasm and confidence.

The joy of Shrewsbury players

In the 77th minute, substitute striker Mangan fired a shot past Cech after a corner kick from his teammate. Shrewsbury Town's emotional 1-1 equalizer sent the entire Greenhous Meadow stadium into a frenzy of joy, while visiting coach Jose Mourinho could only shake his head in disappointment.

However, Shrewsbury's joy did not last long because exactly 4 minutes later, Grandison accidentally headed the ball into his own net after trying to block Willian's cross from the left wing, helping Chelsea to a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
