34 years ago, on March 14, 1988, in the battle to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland at Gac Ma, Co Lin and Len Dao reefs, in the Truong Sa archipelago of Vietnam, although our forces, means and weapons at that time were limited, the marine soldiers of that day fought bravely and were determined to die to the end. Among them, 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy heroically sacrificed their lives to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
