VPF will deduct points from XMXT.SG.
The decision to sanction the team owned by the Thuy brothers could be made as early as this weekend. VPF leaders are considering taking strong action against XMXT.SG to prevent potential negative incidents in the final three rounds of the V-League.

Regarding XMXT.SG's explanation to the VPF about their "underperforming" match against K.KG, Coach Tran Tien Dai said: "We believe there is no other explanation besides professional matters. Whether the team was involved in any wrongdoing or not must wait for the investigating agency and the organizing committee to review."
I think it would be unreasonable to expect XMXT.SG to perform at a high level in that match. No team can play well when they are missing 6 or 7 key players and have to rely entirely on young players.”
Speaking to TT&VH, VFF Vice President and VPF General Director Pham Ngoc Vien said that the Organizing Committee will definitely take action against XMXT.SG. It is expected that tomorrow (August 16th), the Organizing Committee will hold a meeting with all relevant professional departments to re-evaluate the match between XMXT.SG and K. Kien Giang. Based on these evaluations and the match report, the Organizing Committee will issue a specific disciplinary measure. Mr. Vien did not rule out the possibility of deducting points from XMXT.SG.
"Public opinion is currently very upset with what XMXT.SG has shown. We also believe that strict handling of this case will encourage other teams to improve their fighting spirit in the remaining 3 matches."
Of course, the level of disciplinary action will depend on the conclusions of the upcoming meeting. The Professional Football Regulations and the league's rules contain specific provisions allowing the organizing committee to handle violations by teams,” Mr. Vien stated.
According to TT&VH's investigation, both the VFF and VPF agree that taking strict action against the team owned by young businessman Nguyen Xuan Thuy is necessary, given that the V-League is nearing its end. Theoretically, the race for the V-League championship is still wide open with four teams: HN.T&T, SLNA, SHB.ĐN, and HA.GL.
In the lower half of the table, the battle for survival is between V. Ninh Binh and K. Kien Giang. The final rounds are therefore expected to be fraught with sensitive issues, as the results will determine the fate of many teams.
"The XMXT.SG case has received too much public criticism, affecting the reputation of the tournament. If we continue to ignore it, they are likely to continue disregarding the tournament's regulations and rules," a VPF leader said. It is understood that VFF leaders also agree with the view of severely punishing XMXT.SG.
VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy had previously instructed the VPF to request an explanation from XMXT.SG, and then consider disciplinary measures against the team owned by Mr. Thuy.
"If the league organizers deduct points, will XMXT.SG comply?" This is the question TT&VH posed to coach Tran Tien Dai.
“I believe that if the organizing committee wants to deduct points, they need concrete evidence and must rely on the match supervisor's report. The supervisor's report only mentioned that we underperformed due to the absence of several key players, not that there was any foul play. If they deduct points from XMXT.SG, it would be like saying the match supervisor's report is meaningless,” Mr. Dai replied. According to Mr. Dai, in many previous matches of XMXT.SG, there were also text messages from unknown numbers predicting the match results, but the subsequent events were not as predicted. “If the organizing committee only relies on text messages to discipline us, it is unreasonable,” Mr. Dai said.
According to Mr. Tran Tien Dai, XMXT.SG will retaliate if the VPF organizing committee deducts points from them.
