VTV won two first prizes at the 2025 Cultural Journalism Awards
Vietnam Television was honored with the highest honor with the talk show 'Generation Rising' and the special award 'Vietnamese Inspiration' presented for the first time in Hanoi.
VTV won two top awards
On the evening of November 6 at the Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi, Vietnam Television won two first prizes at the Third National Press Awards Ceremony "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture" in 2025. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh.
The work "Discussion on the Rising Era - the theme of the Rising Generation" by the group of authors from the News Department won first prize in the television category. This is a recognition for its profound content, reflecting the major issues of the cultural industry in the digital age.

In particular, Vietnam Television also received the first prize in the "Vietnamese Inspiration" category, an award given for the first time. This award aims to honor the persistent efforts of press agencies that have contributed to turning culture into a source of spiritual energy, spreading positive values to millions of people, arousing national pride and solidarity.
Imprints of the Third National Press Awards
The National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department and the Vietnam Journalists Association. 2025 is the third season with many innovations, in which the name is shortened from "National Press Award for the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" to more concisely cover the fields of the Ministry.
With a larger scale and scope, the contest attracted 1,040 entries from most central and local press agencies. The contest content was also expanded, in addition to the fields of culture, sports, and tourism, there were also articles on journalism and publishing.

Other outstanding works honored
From 122 entries in the final round, the Organizing Committee decided to award 95 individual prizes, including 5 first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 consolation prizes. In addition to the first prize of Vietnam Television, 4 other first prizes were awarded in the categories of print, electronic, radio and photojournalism.
- Print:The work "Preserving historical and cultural values when naming after merger" (Culture Newspaper).
- Electronic newspaper:Series of 5 articles "Capital Hanoi: Forever living memories of 70 years of victory" (VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, VNA).
- Broadcast:Work "Awakening Heritage" (Voice of Vietnam Radio).
- Press photo:Work "Household traditions preserve 'national color'" (Culture Newspaper).

In addition, 3 collective awards were given to press agencies with many quality works, including: Voice of Vietnam Radio, Bac Ninh Newspaper and Television, Vinh Long Newspaper and Television. The success of the award continues to affirm the role of the press in implementing the declaration "Culture is the foundation - Information is the channel - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".
