VTV confirms Ta Bich Loan replaces Lai Van Sam as head of VTV3

Journalist Ta Bich Loan will be the Head of VTV3 Entertainment Program Production from July 1, replacing journalist Lai Van Sam who has retired.

On the afternoon of June 20, journalist Nguyen Thanh Luong - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television - confirmed to Zing.vn that journalist Ta Bich Loan will take on the position of Head of Entertainment Program Production after journalist Lai Van Sam retires.

“Ms. Ta Bich Loan will be the Head of VTV3 from July 1st after Mr. Lai Van Sam retires. Ms. Loan is a completely worthy choice because she has experience at VTV3, having held the position of Deputy Head of this unit,” added journalist Nguyen Thanh Luong.

VTV's Deputy General Director also said that journalist Ta Bich Loan could do well at both VTV3 and VTV6, but because VTV3 is a key channel of the station, the VTV Party Committee and Board of Directors decided to transfer her.

Journalist Ta Bich Loan was born in 1968. She is known for her work as an editor and host of many television programs such as Seven Colors of the Rainbow, Road to Olympia, Contemporary People, Startup, and 60 Minutes Open.

Journalist Ta Bich Loan studied and researched in Russia before working at VTV. She has a PhD in journalism and is currently the Head of the Youth Department of VTV6.

Journalist Ta Bich Loan was once voted by Forbes Vietnam magazine as one of the 50 most influential women in Vietnam.

Recently, journalist Ta Bich Loan has concurrently taken on the position of Head of the Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

After journalist Ta Bich Loan leaves VTV6, journalist Nguyen Duc Hoa will take over as Head of VTV6 Youth Department and journalist Dang Diem Quynh will be Deputy Head of this TV channel.
