After 15 years of operation, the Youth TV channel VTV6 of Vietnam Television will officially disband on October 14. From October 15, 2022, VTV6 will be replaced by VTV Can Tho TV channel.

Previously, according to Decree No. 60/2022/ND-CP on the organization, tasks and powers of Vietnam Television, VTV6 was no longer part of the system of departments and offices of the Station. This means that the Youth Department was officially abolished from September 8, 2022.

That's why, since the beginning of September, many famous editors and MCs of VTV6 have sadly said goodbye to the Youth Department.

Editor Ton Hieu Anh - who has been with VTV6 since the early days sadly shared: "I have worked at VTV6 for 12 years, so the fact that VTV6 no longer exists is a regrettable thing. Although I know this is part of VTV's (Vietnam Television) restructuring plan, I cannot help but feel sad about having to say goodbye to the place that has been associated with my youth.

Honestly, when we heard the news that VTV6 was disbanding, our entire team was shocked and sad. Tomorrow, when viewers turn on their TVs, VTV6 will no longer exist and we will put a period on our career. The announcement of the channel's termination and the dissolution of the Youth and Youth Department is also a concern for the station's leadership and many of our colleagues at the station."

According to BTV Ton Hieu Anh, the biggest regret for him and his colleagues is having to say goodbye to programs familiar to young people such as:Happy Lunch, Glass Bottle, Fashion Studio, Dare to Live, Women with Taste, Rainbow…The programs that VTV6 members have created are handmade in a sophisticated way. The biggest regret is that VTV6 has super strong staff to make live TV shows.

Editor Ton Hieu Anh revealed that after VTV6 officially disbands, its staff will be accepted by 9 different units within Vietnam Television. The wish will be fulfilled for each member.

"Personally, I am strong in shows so I chose to join the Entertainment Program Production Department, the first place I worked when I joined the station. I think, although I am quite insecure because of my age, it also gives the station and myself one last chance to be together. Change and elimination are inevitable when fate ends. Meeting old leaders also helps me to be less worried and integrate into the new environment," Editor Ton Hieu Anh confided.

In recent days, on the personal page of BTV Hai Bang, there have been many sad statuses about having to say goodbye to VTV6 and his long-time colleagues. BTV Hai Bang expressed: "In the early days of working in television, seeing the last letter board with my name on it, even though it was just an assistant role, also aroused a sense of excitement and hope.

After working in television for a few years, my name gradually appeared earlier and more often, still with the joy of what I had done before that final letter board. After working in television for a number of years, the final letter board is something I look forward to every time I edit a file. After working in television for many years, sometimes I do the final letter board first to create the feeling of "Oh, the file will be finished soon, I'm tired!".

The last letter board, short is 15 seconds, long can be up to a minute, viewers usually don't watch it but it contains the arduous journeys of "TV workers" appearing through the names. The last letter board is also a reminder to always do good things. In the past months, always end the file with this bcc. In the coming months, will end the file with another bcc. Goodbye youth".

Actor/MC Kien Hoang - successful person from the programRainbow Actor 2012Emotionally recalling memories with VTV6: "Still remember the day of filming the last episode of Rainbow 4/30/2012, I won the championship, I hugged Ms. Huong Bong, hugged Mr. Hoang Dung and cried. From that competition, it laid the foundation, was the bridge for me to get closer to the job of an actor, MC. If it weren't for V6, I think there wouldn't be many opportunities for a new soldier like me. Thank you so much V6 for always loving me, helping me get closer to the audience, brothers and sisters in the TV station".

VTV6's dissolution after 15 years of existence is unprecedented.

MC Do Bach Duong also expressed: "Everyone at V6 simultaneously posted VTV6 photos as an official farewell. I said nothing could make me sad anymore, but I'm still sad. 15 years, my entire youth, the dedication of so many people there, it's not simple. This is almost unprecedented for VTV, a magnificent editorial board that was born 15 years ago and now completely disappeared, without a trace... A talented, united, close-knit group that has "shared hardships and joys" through so many projects, flourished together through so many programs, how can we not be emotional at this moment!

Dear friends! I don't know what to do if I'm still in V6. Maybe I'll still wind up, the spirit for you guys is that life is like that, constantly moving and developing and we have to learn to adapt to change...

VTV6 has a programRainbowI really like it, many people like it. The song "Rainbow" by Hoang Anh Minh - a former member of VTV6 keeps ringing in my ears these days. After the rain, a rainbow will appear. All difficulties and changes will pass. Always have a rainbow in your heart. Rainbows are not only for VTV6, VTV, but rainbows are for our whole lives, my friends!".
