Before shooting dead the female Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council of Doan Ket Ward and then committing suicide, Mr. Hieu still went to work as usual. The night before, Mr. Hieu still took his wife and children out, the couple had no conflicts or disagreements.
On December 4, according to information from Gia Lai General Hospital, Mr. Hieu has overcome the critical stage and is being treated at the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department. However, the suspect’s relatives are still unable to enter the hospital and are on standby outside.
It is known that suspect Hieu's family has only 2 siblings, Hieu and a younger brother.

Talking to reporters, Hieu said: "Before the incident, Hieu was still studying at the Military College in Pleiku City (Gia Lai). A few evenings before, Hieu returned home and took his wife and children out as usual. Recently, Hieu and his wife have not had any conflicts or disagreements. Hieu has two children, 12 years old and 2 years old."
According to Hieu's family, since the incident, Hieu's two children have continuously asked to see their father, but because the house is too far away, the two children have not been able to visit their father.

The Deputy Commander of the Military Command of Doan Ket Ward used an AK gun to control many people, shot dead the female Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council, and then committed suicide.
"After Mr. Hieu was hospitalized for treatment, the family was extremely confused and worried. I was working at a bookstore near the People's Committee of Doan Ket Ward, and Mr. Hieu worked at the Ward Military Command. When we heard the news, my family could not believe it was true."
Regarding the relationship between her husband and Ms. H'Ven, Hieu's wife said that she only knew that the two had a normal colleague relationship like other people in the office. Recently, Hieu went to study in Gia Lai and only came home on weekends. Occasionally, Hieu still took me and my mother out and showed no unusual signs. On the morning of the incident, Hieu still went to work at 6:45 and was still normal like every other day...
The body of victim H'Ven was brought home for burial by his family immediately after the incident.
Previously, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Son - Head of the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Gia Lai Provincial Police said that through initial investigation, the cause of the Deputy Military Command shooting and killing the female Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council of Doan Ket Ward could be due to emotional conflicts./.
