At the investigation agency, nanny Nguyen Thi Dao initially admitted to abusing children at the private kindergarten Mam Xanh; nanny Pham Nhu Quynh admitted that she only threatened them and did not actually abuse them.
According to a leader of District 12 Police, with the images and statements of the two nannies, the police are consolidating the case file to prosecute nanny Dao. Regarding the fact that nanny Dao is pregnant, she will enjoy leniency under the law later. In the immediate future, the two nannies will have to appear at the police station every day.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 26, Tuoi Tre newspaper published a report reflecting on child abuse occurring at the Mam Xanh childcare facility at the above address.
The clip recorded the scene of children aged 2-5 years old being continuously beaten and threatened by nannies while eating. In addition to slapping the face, punching the back, kicking the body..., these people also used many different objects to brutally beat the children, forcing them to eat, play, and study in tears.
It is worth mentioning that the clip also shows a scene of a nanny using a plastic bottle to hit a little girl on the head despite being stopped by staff at the same facility, or threatening the child with a knife, causing public outrage.
Immediately after the incident was discovered, District 12 authorities quickly intervened and directed strict handling of this violation.
Regarding the incident, on November 28, the Investigation Police Department initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and issued an order to temporarily detain Ms. Pham Thi My Linh, owner of Mam Xanh Kindergarten, to investigate the act of torturing others.
