According to the report, the candy factory has an area of ​​about 170m2 and is owned by Mr. Tran Van Duoc, from Phuc Tho district. Mr. Duoc rented land from Mr. Loi, Chien village, Duc Thuong commune for production. The candy factory is built around and sealed with corrugated iron, located on National Highway 32.

The cause of the fire that killed 8 people was determined to be that the workshop was being repaired, and a welder caused an electric spark to hit the foam ceiling of the attic.

The report stated that immediately after the fire broke out, the district mobilized the district police, military command, fire police... to put out the fire and rescue the victims. By 12 o'clock, the fire was completely extinguished.

As of 1:30 p.m., two victims were being treated at Dan Phuong District Hospital, and eight others had died.
