Rescue flight case: Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Department of Foreign Affairs prosecuted
Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Thai Nguyen province, Tran Tung, was prosecuted and temporarily detained for "Receiving bribes" related to the "rescue flight" case.
The Security Investigation Agency - Ministry of Public Security has just issued a Decision to prosecute the criminal case of "Receiving bribes" that occurred in Thai Nguyen and a number of provinces and cities; at the same time, issued Decisions to prosecute the accused, Arrest warrant for temporary detention, and Search warrant for the residence and workplace of Tran Tung (born in 1978), Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Thai Nguyen province.

It is known that this is a procedural decision related to the next investigation phase of the "Rescue Flight" case, which occurred at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi City and related provinces and cities.
After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency served the Decision to prosecute the accused, executed the Order to arrest the accused for temporary detention, and searched the residence and workplace of the accused Tran Tung.
Previously, in relation to the "Rescue Flight" case, the Supreme People's Procuracy issued an indictment against 54 defendants. Of these, 21 were accused of accepting bribes, 23 of giving bribes, 4 of brokering bribes, 4 of abusing their positions and powers while performing official duties, and 2 of fraud and appropriation of property./.
