BIDV bank robbery in Hue: 1 suspect has been identified
The Deputy Director of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police said that initially, one suspect was identified for the robbery at BIDV bank branch in Hue.
At around 5:00 p.m. on December 6, at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Thua Thien Hue Branch on Mai Thuc Loan Street, Hue City, a daring bank robbery occurred.

According to initial information, at the above time, the bank employees were counting money when a masked man broke into the bank, threatened the employees with a gun, took a large amount of money including 500,000 VND bills, then fled on a motorbike.
When a local resident discovered the motorbike chase from the bank to Ngo Duc Ke street, the robber turned around and fired two shots. Luckily, the chaser was not hit. The robber then escaped.
Many residents on Mai Thuc Loan Street said the incident happened quite quickly and unexpectedly, some people heard gunshots. Colonel Dang Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police, who was directly present at the scene to investigate the incident, said that initially, the police determined that this was a bank robbery. The subject used a marble gun because there were some marbles scattered at the scene.
After the robbery, Hue City Police and Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police sealed off the bank, took statements and extracted security camera footage... to investigate and clarify the incident. The amount of money stolen is currently being verified.
Colonel Dang Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police, said: "We are deploying all forces to mobilize officers and soldiers throughout the province. The immediate task is to identify one suspect. Now we are focusing on the investigation"./.
