America's super weapons "lost" into the hands of IS
Syria continues to find a "super-huge" arsenal in the bases that IS left behind after being destroyed by the country's army.
According to SANA news agency, the Syrian army has just discovered a large-scale weapons and ammunition warehouse hidden in a farm between the southern suburbs of Damascus and Beit Sahm.
The weapons cache was discovered based on reports from local residents. The terrorists left behind a large number of rifles, machine guns, and US-made TOW anti-tank missiles. There were also a large number of RPG-29 anti-tank rockets, grenades, and many other types of rifles.

These ammunitions are all packed in wooden or metal crates, in good condition and can still be reused.
The area where the weapons were found was not far from an IS terrorist base. After being destroyed and cleared by the Russian-Syrian coalition, IS left behind its weapons cache. The southern suburbs of Damascus and Beit Sahm were liberated from IS in May 2018.
This is not the first time that US-origin weapons have been found in IS bases. On November 5, Syrian troops found a large cache in the strategic town of Jibat al-Khashab in Al-Quneitra province. In just the first five days of November, Syria has continuously discovered US-origin weapons in IS bases.
In May 2018, the Russian-Syrian coalition also discovered many weapons depots of IS terrorists and the al-Nusra Front terrorist group in many areas of Homs province after being liberated by the national army.
All of these weapons include machine guns, rifles, anti-tank missiles and various types of heavy artillery shells. Notably, in some warehouses, the Syrian army also discovered modern night vision goggles and many equipment for use by military medical units, all of which originated from the US and the UK.
The US coalition’s weapons stockpiles in the hands of IS have increasingly raised suspicions that the US is funding weapons for terrorists in this country. However, many believe that terrorists can completely own US weapons through smuggling channels and are paid fairly with illegal sources of money.
Lieutenant General Jeffey Harrigan of the US Air Force once affirmed that terrorists have abundant sources of money through smuggling oil, gold, silver, antiquities, and even slaves. Many terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq also receive huge funding from many sources of money from foreign businessmen who share common interests or ideologies. "Why are there American weapons in the hands of terrorists? Because American weapons are the most effective way to counter the weapons that Russia and Syria use on the battlefield," said General Harrigan.
