The inspection team proposed to consider and take Party disciplinary action against two Deputy Directors, Mr. Nguyen Trong Tin and Mr. Tran Hung.

After reviewing and re-evaluating the law enforcement inspection process with Con Cung Joint Stock Company by the Market Management Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade concluded that it had discovered a number of violations by market management officers.

The two Deputy Directors of the Market Management Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Mr. Nguyen Trong Tin and Mr. Tran Hung, have shown signs of violating the provisions of the law and the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding their statements, affecting the state management activities of the Ministry. "The actions of the two leaders of the market management force have caused negative effects, misunderstandings, and incorrect understanding of the nature of the incident in public opinion as well as affecting the business activities of enterprises," the conclusion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated.

In addition, the direction, monitoring and inspection work of the Market Management Department on a large scale in Ho Chi Minh City and 28 provinces is not strict and not suitable to the practical situation.

On this basis, the inspection team proposed that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade consider and take disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Trong Tin and Mr. Tran Hung.

The Department of Organization and Personnel submitted to the Ministry's leaders procedures for considering and handling civil servants who showed signs of violations according to regulations with Mr. Hung and Mr. Tin. At the same time, the Department of Organization and Personnel submitted to the Ministry's leaders a meeting to review experiences with Mr. Trinh Van Ngoc - Director of the Market Management Department, the head, who took responsibility for management and direction.

Regarding the professional activities of the Market Management Department, the inspection team suggested that this agency learn from experience in directing and organizing large-scale inspections. The Department also needs to take immediate measures to overcome shortcomings and inadequacies in the operational process so as not to affect businesses in the process of performing official duties.

In addition to the proposal to handle violations by market management officers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also said that as a result of the inspection of law enforcement at Con Cung, the market management also discovered a number of violations and issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of 250 million VND. Con Cung Company has paid the full amount of the fine.

Previously, according to the conclusion of the inspection on compliance with the law in production and business of Con Cung announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in mid-August, this enterprise did not violate the sale of fake goods of origin as previously suspected, but only made mistakes in promotion, e-commerce...

After announcing the official inspection results but not discovering that Con Cung was selling fake goods as suspected, the Ministry of Industry and Trade established a working group to review the inspection process of the market management force in the case.

Con Cung supermarket chain has been suspected of fraudulent origin of goods from a complaint from a customer in Ho Chi Minh City when buying a set of t-shirts with product code CF G127011. This customer claimed that the product label had been cut off and replaced with a "Made in Thailand" label. Since being suspected, Con Cung has continuously denied and provided evidence to confirm that it does not sell fake or counterfeit goods in its issued announcements.

Established in 2011, Con Cung mother and baby supermarket chain focuses mainly on Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces. In early 2017, Con Cung received investment from Daiwa-SSIAM II and began to expand its market share. The number of stores opened in 2017 after being "sponsored" was higher than the number of the previous 5 years.

Con Cung is currently the largest chain in the market with 318 supermarkets nationwide, including 288 supermarkets with the Con Cung brand and 30 ToyCity stores.
