Hot pot restaurant explosion in Nghe An: Report has been made
(Baonghean.vn) - Regarding the explosion at a hot pot restaurant in Vinh City, Nghe An Fire Police said that the unit had inspected and made a record of this restaurant.
On March 21, authorities were still conducting a crime scene investigation and taking statements from relevant parties to clarify the cause of the explosion at building number 5 Tran Phu street, Le Mao ward (Vinh city).

Colonel Le Quoc Bao - Deputy Director of Nghe An Fire Police said that initially, the authorities determined that there were no signs of crime in this explosion.
Regarding the fire prevention and fighting management records at this building, Colonel Bao said: “For a long time, inspections have been carried out normally and there are complete records. There were fines at the beginning of last year and the records are kept at Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1.”
Working with Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Hung - Head of Fire Police Department No. 1 (Nghe An Fire Police), it was learned that in November 2016, Nghe An Fire Police had once fined a karaoke bar. In December 2017, Nghe An Fire Police inspected this facility and made a record.
“The problem does not exist in a big way, the responsibility of the state management agency is to make recommendations to fix it. What is important is the extent, whether it is dangerous or not,” said Lieutenant Colonel Hung.
Regarding management work in the area, Mr. Nguyen Tam Ky - Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Mao Ward (Vinh City) said that the hot pot restaurant had few customers before and had only been operating for about 6-7 months. As for karaoke, this facility has about 8 rooms but few customers.
“Sometimes there are fights here. Every time, the ward police and the authorities come to make a record and handle the administrative matters, reminding the company,” said Mr. Ky, affirming that the company complies fully with the law. There are no major problems with security and order.

Returning to the explosion in the early morning of March 20, although it did not cause any human damage, it destroyed many parts of the building. Tempered glass and many materials were thrown hundreds of meters by the force. Many offices and houses within a radius of 100 meters were also affected by the vibration.
In addition to the scene investigation, the authorities are also coordinating with the business owner to count the damage caused by the explosion. Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Mao Ward said that the total damage to the business is estimated at about 1.5 billion VND. In addition, the Le Mao Ward Police are also conducting specific statistics on the damage to surrounding households and businesses caused by the explosion.
Commenting on the explosion, Mr. Ky added: “Fortunately, the explosion happened late. If the explosion had happened a few hours earlier, we don’t know how big the consequences would have been.”
