The case of a female chicken delivery student murdered on New Year's Eve: Exhumation and re-examination of the body
Due to contradictions in the suspects' statements, the Dien Bien Provincial Police Department coordinated with the Institute of Criminal Science, Ministry of Public Security to exhume and conduct an autopsy on the unfortunate victim.

New details about the murder of a female chicken delivery student on New Year's Eve
Based on the collected evidence, the Deputy Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police said that the investigation agency has summoned another person related to the robbery and murder of a female student delivering chicken on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet.
The exhumation and re-examination of the body of the unfortunate female student was conducted at the people's cemetery of Thanh Hung commune, Dien Bien district.
According to the reporter's source, the exhumation and re-examination of the body is to strengthen the evidence due to many contradictions in the statements of the arrested and detained subjects.

Initial investigation results determined that at around 6:30 p.m. on February 4 (ie New Year's Eve), Ms. Tran Thi H's daughter, Cao My Duyen, currently a student at a university in Thai Nguyen, used a motorbike with license plate 27H1 - 7407 to transport 13 chickens to a stranger in area C13, Thanh Truong ward, Dien Bien Phu city.
After about 2 hours, the family called Duyen many times but she did not answer the phone. After that, the phone was unreachable so the family went to the police station to report.
Upon receiving the report, the provincial police directed professional units, district police, and Dien Bien Phu City police to organize a search. At 9:00 a.m. on February 6 (the second day of Tet), the motorbike Duyen used to transport chickens was discovered in Team 18, Noong Luong Commune, Dien Bien District.
At 10:30 a.m. on February 7 (the third day of Tet), the body of victim Cao My Duyen was found at an abandoned house in front of the gate of the Traffic Construction Company in Team 11, Thanh Nua Commune, Dien Bien District.
Through the crime scene investigation and autopsy, the police determined that the victim died from strangulation.
From the collected documents, on February 10, the police arrested suspect Vuong Van Hung (born in 1984), residing in Tan Thuy block, Tuan Giao town, Tuan Giao district (Dien Bien), confiscated the victim's motorbike registration, mobile phone and the phone SIM card the suspect used to contact to buy chicken on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet.
On February 13, Dien Bien Provincial Police initiated a case and prosecuted Vuong Van Hung for two crimes: Murder and Robbery.
During the investigation, Hung revealed that his accomplice was Bui Van Cong (in Team 16, Thanh Nua Commune, Dien Bien District). Cong was the owner of the 1.25-ton truck, which had blood stains on the truck bed, and through forensic examination, this blood sample matched the blood sample of the victim Cao My Duyen. Notably, Cong's wife was the first person to discover the victim's body.
The case is under further investigation.
