Many famous people have their reputations exploited when they are in trouble.

The most recent case is the singerPhi NhungA Facebook account named Nguyen Ngoc Chau arbitrarily called for donations to support the female singer in treating Covid-19 for the purpose of profiteering.
As soon as the incident was discovered, the singer's family spoke up to clarify: "Someone took advantage of singer Phi Nhung's name to make a profit, not to donate to help her. Currently, as far as we know, Facebook Nguyen Ngoc Chau used to be singer Ngoc Chau's personal account. However, this account has now been hijacked by a scammer to post information calling for donations for singer Phi Nhung."
Accordingly, this person's purpose was to target Phi Nhung's fans to call on anyone with money to support, along with an account number and a strange name.
To gain the trust of fans, this person faked the image of transferring the money that people donated to the account of singer Phi Nhung's manager. However, Phi Nhung's side affirmed that all of this was false and the singer had not called for any donations since being hospitalized.
Before Phi Nhung, many Vietnamese artists also became victims of tricks to exploit their names to gain charity money. A typical case is the case of artist Chi Tai not long ago that also caused public outrage.
Specifically, a person impersonated singer Phuong Loan - the late artist's wife.Chi Taito raise money for charity to bring the late artist's body back to the US.
Singer Phuong Loan then asked artist Viet Huong to correct the information. The family said that this was a scam and advised everyone to be careful.

The family also hoped that these people would stop such unclear behavior.
The story of taking advantage of artists in trouble has also happened to artists such as Le Binh, Mai Phuong, Nhat Dung... The forms of those who take advantage are similar, such as publicizing account numbers, impersonating family to donate to charity. However, after the truth was exposed, they quickly deleted the post and locked their personal pages, making many people angry.
