The case of a couple and their child dying in the house: Suspected suicide

Thu Duc District Police initially identified the three victims and continued to investigate the cause of this case. The scene showed that this was likely a suicide.

On the afternoon of December 12, Thu Duc District Police, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (PC45, Ho Chi Minh City Police) to examine the scene and continue to clarify the cause of 3 deaths of a family at a house in alley 78, Chuong Duong, Linh Chieu ward, Thu Duc district.

Police blocked off the scene for investigation.

According to initial information, at around 7am the same day, a relative of Mr. Nguyen Van Linh (49 years old) came to visit his house and found the door locked. Looking through the crack in the window, this person was shocked to discover Mr. Linh dead in a hanging position.

Underneath the floor, Mrs. Le Thi Kim Lien (44 years old) and her son Nguyen Thanh Nguyen (15 years old) were lying motionless on the floor. Upon discovering the incident, Mr. Linh's relatives shouted and reported to the police. When the door of the house was opened, everyone discovered that all three were dead.

According to some residents of alley 78, Mr. Linh's family has always lived in harmony without any grudges against anyone. Every day, Mr. Linh works as a construction worker while Mrs. Lien sells soup at the entrance of the alley.

Initially, traces collected at the scene showed that this was likely a suicide. But why all 3 family members committed suicide is still being clarified.
