Dirty gasoline case in Nghe An: Violating enterprise acknowledges appraisal results

(Baonghean.vn) - Working with the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology on October 23, 2017, after hearing the announcement of the results of the gasoline sample testing, the violating enterprises all acknowledged the results and signed the minutes without requesting to retest the samples for comparison.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, after discovering the act of mixing solvents to create dirty gasoline by Thanh Ngu Company Limited and Kien Luc Private Enterprise, PC46 Department of Provincial Police and the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology clarified that there were 8 gas stations belonging to Ky Phuong Trading Company Limited (Dien Ngoc, Dien Chau), Sau Hang Trading Company Limited (Dien Ngoc, Dien Chau), Phung Pha Private Enterprise (Quynh Tam, Quynh Luu), Thuan Thanh Private Enterprise (Dien An, Dien Chau) that consumed dirty gasoline.

To serve the 917/X project, the PC46 Department of the Provincial Police and the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology took 12 gasoline samples from all the above enterprises and sent them to the Technical Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality 2 (General Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality) for quality testing according to the National Technical Regulation QCVN:1/2015. Thereby, 11/12 samples had very low Octane index; one sample only reached 46/92.

Immediately after obtaining the appraisal results, the Department of Science and Technology Inspectorate contacted the above enterprises about the organization of notification of the results, and the enterprises' rights to re-appraise the samples for comparison according to the provisions of law.

On the afternoon of October 23, 2017, Thanh Ngu Company Limited, Ky Phuong Trading Company Limited, Sau Hang Trading Company Limited, Phung Pha Private Enterprise, Thuan Thanh Private Enterprise sent representatives to work with the Inspectorate of the Department of Science and Technology; only Kien Luc Private Enterprise was absent.

After hearing the appraisal results, representatives of these businesses all agreed not to request sample testing for comparison but only provided some details requesting the authorities to consider mitigating the violation.

As for Thanh Ngu Company Limited, although they were caught red-handed mixing dirty gasoline, they claimed that Kien Luc Private Enterprise was the ringleader, and because they could not distinguish the quality of gasoline, they became the consumer of dirty gasoline.
