Accelerating and braking at the same time: Women's dangerous habit of destroying motorbikes
Accelerating and braking at the same time is a harmful habit of women when riding motorbikes. This action not only causes the vehicle to deteriorate quickly but also endangers those around.
Vietnam is a country that mainly uses motorbikes, with more than 3 million motorbikes sold each year. However, there are still many bad habits when riding motorbikes that people may or may not know about.
One of the extremely harmful habits that most women have when riding a motorbike is accelerating and braking at the same time.
It is very simple to recognize women who often have this bad habit: when moving on the road, the car's brake lights are always on even when the car's lights are not on during the day.
This is a sign that the driver is always performing two actions at the same time: accelerating and braking with an automatic vehicle or braking with a manual vehicle.
The objective factor leading to this habit is that when moving in the city with high traffic density, drivers (especially women) are always ready to brake because of weak reflexes and fear of colliding with the vehicles in front.
In addition, many women are not mentally stable, when an accident occurs they cannot control themselves, so they both turn the throttle and squeeze the brake. In many cases, the user suddenly releases the brake, causing the vehicle to jump forward, which is extremely dangerous for themselves and those around them.
Once it becomes a habit, squeezing the brake and accelerating at the same time will make the motorbike consume much more gas, the sensitivity of the brake will decrease due to the brake pads wearing out quickly... The engine will also deteriorate in a short time because the machine is always under pressure when accelerating but cannot move.
To limit this bad habit, safe driving experts advise:
- Pay attention to observe and judge the situation, avoid braking while steering, this can easily cause you to lose direction and fall.
- Before braking, always have the reflex to reduce the throttle, avoid braking and accelerating at the same time, which will cause the car to not be able to stop.
- When braking, you should learn to use both brakes (even if the vehicle has a combi-brake system because this system is only for support) with just enough braking force, avoiding the situation where only one brake will not be as effective as desired.
- In particular, using only one brake on a scooter is very dangerous, because most of the brakes are front wheel brakes and the weight distribution on the rear wheel can easily cause the vehicle to skid due to large inertia.
