Just released from prison, colluded with 3 subjects to steal, rob and consume stolen property
(Baonghean.vn) - A subject with 2 previous convictions for theft of property, recently released from prison, colluded with subjects to rob, steal and consume "stolen" property.
Hoang Mai town police, Nghe An province are temporarily detaining a group of 4 suspects to investigate the acts of robbery, theft of property andconsumption of property obtained by crime.
Previously, around the beginning of August 2021, through the work of grasping the situation and basic investigation, Hoang Mai Town Police suspected that a number of thefts were committed by a group of people from outside the area, so they established a special project with code number 821T to focus on fighting and destroying them.

On November 10, 2021, the Investigation Police Agency received a report from the Quynh Thien Ward Police, Hoang Mai Town, stating that Ms. Dau Thi T. (born in 1966), residing in Village 10, Quynh Trang Commune, Hoang Mai Town, was taken advantage of by a thief to steal 14,500,000 VND from the trunk of her motorbike while she was parking her motorbike at Quang Khoi General Hospital in Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town.
Through the investigation of the scene, it was determined that the traces left behind were similar to previous thefts by the group in Project 821T that the town police force is currently fighting. Extracting camera footage along the National Highway and from households, it was discovered that the subjects moved continuously and lost track when they reached Dien Hoa Commune, Dien Chau District.
Continuing to isolate the area and use sharp professional measures, the Task Force firmly grasped the identification characteristics and background of the subjects. On November 16, 2021, Hoang Mai Town Police deployed forces to arrest 03 subjects, including: Cao Thanh Dat (born 2000), Ngo Tri Than (born 2004), Ngo Dinh Kien (born 1999), all residing in Phuong Lich 1 hamlet, Dien Hoa commune, Dien Chau district when they were present at their private homes.
Expanding the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoang Mai Town Police arrested another suspect, Uong Thi Chung (born in 1977), residing in Block 4, Dien Chau Town, Dien Chau District.
During the investigation, Dat, Than, and Kien initially confessed to having committed 7 thefts and 1 robbery in Hoang Mai town and Quynh Luu district. Of these, the Hoang Mai town police investigation agency has clarified 5 thefts.
Regarding 2 thefts and 1 robbery in Quynh Luu district; Hoang Mai town police are coordinating with related units to notify and find the victims. It is known that Cao Thanh Dat has 2 previous convictions for theft, and after being released from prison, he colluded with other subjects to continue committing crimes.
The stolen assets included mobile phone top-up cards, laptops, and mobile phones, which they sold to Uong Thi Chung.
Currently, the town police are temporarily detaining the suspects to continue investigating and expanding the case, consolidating the case file to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
