Happy harvest festival in Thai village, Western Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 14 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), people in Bong village, Thanh Son commune (Anh Son) held a Harvest Praying Festival. This is a traditional cultural activity imbued with the cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group in the lower reaches of the Con River.

Bong village, Thanh Son commune (Anh Son) is home to more than 250 Thai households. Every year, on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, families in Bong village prepare offerings to bring to the temple at the head of the village to worship the mountain gods and river gods, praying for favorable weather, a peaceful life, and good crops.
