(Baonghean.vn)For several consecutive days, scorching heat has been widespread, especially in the mountainous districts of Quy Chau and Quy Hop, where many villagers have had to go down to rivers and streams to fetch water for daily use.
The fields are cracked and parched, the corn stalks are scorched white and fluttering in the hot, dry winds from Laos. In particular, in Quy Hop district alone, about 2,200 hectares of rice fields cannot be cultivated during the summer-autumn season. The prolonged heatwave has disrupted the lives of people in the mountainous region.
