(Baonghean) - In the exciting atmosphere, full of enthusiasm for the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, in 2016, the Party Committee, army and people of Nghe An achieved remarkable achievements.

Under the leadership and attention of the Party Central Committee, the drastic direction of the Government and central ministries and branches, the solidarity, unity, and strong promotion of the bravery and intelligence of Nghe An people have created comprehensive changes, including important milestones: Completing 25/27 main targets on socio-economic development, in which the growth rate of total product in the province is estimated at 7.5%; ranking at the top of the country in terms of the number of communes meeting new rural standards; many large projects were inaugurated and put into use; investment promotion activities and trade, tourism and service attraction were truly in-depth and focused; the provincial public administration and efficiency index (PAPI) was strongly and substantially improved; the work of Party building and rectification, and consolidation of the political system had many innovations in the direction of democracy, science and progress, ensuring unified and smooth leadership and direction.

The achievements of 2016 are a solid foundation for the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for the period 2015 - 2020, creating a new position and strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An to welcome the new year 2017 with full confidence in victory and success, striving to achieve the goal of bringing Uncle Ho's beloved homeland to comprehensive and sustainable development, by 2020 basically becoming an industrial province; a development center in a number of important fields of the North Central region... in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo (11th tenure).
