(Baonghean.vn) -At 5 PM this afternoon (January 18th), a traffic accident occurred when a truck recklessly overtook another vehicle and crashed onto the railway tracks, disrupting unified railway traffic and causing road traffic congestion.
It is reported that at the time of the incident, a sand-carrying truck with license plate 37S 7237 was traveling on National Highway 1A at kilometer 410 in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province) when it suddenly overtook another vehicle traveling in the same direction from Vinh to Hanoi. This caused the truck to swerve to the left side of the road, knocking down 50 meters of iron guardrail, and its front tire burst, resulting in it overturning beside the railway tracks and forcing freight train number 230 to stop and wait at Yen Ly station.

Immediately after the accident, the driver of the car, a resident of Quynh Xuan commune, Quynh Luu district (whose name and age are unknown), sustained minor injuries and left the scene.
Because the accident involved both railway and road traffic, many road users stopped to watch, causing traffic congestion. The Dien Chau District Traffic Police, along with the railway station staff, promptly arrived to handle the situation and clear the congestion at the scene.
