Surpassing Barca and Man Utd, Real is the most expensive club in the world

Forbes' 2016 report shows that the Spanish Royal team is the most valuable, ranked above Barcelona and Man Utd.

Real Madrid is valued by Forbes at around $3.645 billion, making it the world's most valuable football team. Barcelona is second on the list at $3.549 billion.

In 2016, Real was also the world's highest-earning football team with $640 million. In all sports, Real is the second most valuable team after the American football team Dallas Cowboys.

Man Utd are third on the list of the most valuable teams, with a value of $3.317 billion. The Old Trafford team has not had much success in the past three years but still has a large fan base around the world.

In the Top 10, there are six teams playing in the Premier League: Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham. This number shows the coverage of English football around the world, as well as the huge revenue from television copyright.
