One person is in critical condition after running a red light and crashing into a truck.

(Baonghean.vn) -At approximately 8:30 AM on February 7th, a traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1A at the intersection near Cau Giat Town (Quynh Luu District), resulting in one person being critically injured and causing traffic chaos on the highway.

The scene of the accident

According to some local residents, at the time of the incident, a motorbike with license plate 37B1-27365, driven by an unidentified man, was traveling from National Highway 48B towards National Highway 1A. Upon reaching the intersection in Cau Giat town, the motorbike encountered a red light, but the driver attempted to cross the road and unexpectedly collided with a moving truck with license plate 37C-03128. The powerful impact caused the man and his motorbike to be trapped under the truck, and the victim sustained very serious injuries. After the accident, residents quickly took the victim to the Quynh Luu District General Hospital for emergency treatment. Shortly afterward, the Quynh Luu District police arrived at the scene to conduct measurements, investigate, and determine the cause of the accident.

The accident occurred right at the town's intersection, causing chaos and congestion on National Highway 1A. Traffic police in Quynh Luu district had to mobilize five officers to clear the congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow.
