Travel more than 1,100km to buy drugs for use and sale for profit

On April 27, the People's Committee of Quy Chau district organized an award ceremony for the 419MT Project Team for their achievements in arresting 2 subjects, seizing 1 heroin cake, and 1 kg of crystal meth.

Previously, Quy Chau District Police discovered that Than Duc Huong (born in 1982, residing in Nam Ban town, Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province) was a drug addict who often went to Que Phong to buy drugs. Quy Chau District Police established Project 419MT to fight and destroy it.

On April 25, 2019, upon receiving information that Huong and another subject were traveling by bus from Lam Dong to Nghe An and were likely to conduct drug transactions in Que Phong, the task force deployed forces to monitor them.

In the early morning of April 26, 2019, Huong and her accomplices got off the bus at Yen Ly commune (Dien Chau), then took a taxi to Que Phong district to buy and sell drugs.

At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, Huong and her accomplices took a taxi to Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district, and were caught red-handed by the police with evidence of 1 heroin cake, 1 kg of crystal meth, and 2 packages of pink pills.

At the investigation agency, the subject accompanying Huong declared his name as Tran Van Khoa (born in 1974, residing in Nam Cuong, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province).

Khoa is a drug addict, has an unstable residence, often moves around, and works as a freelancer in Lam Dong. The drugs seized above were bought by Huong and Khoa for use and trading for profit.
