How to overcome stress?

Everyone wants to be physically beautiful and mentally healthy. Let's do these simple exercises together to overcome stress and regain balance in life and work!

Find a way to "open the valve".

Sit down in a quiet corner, hum softly, or immerse yourself in cheerful music, singing along loudly. A long, loud sigh, or a deep groan, can also ease the burden of negative thoughts.

Stress relief exercises

Stand upright, clasp your hands together behind your back, palms facing down. Slowly raise your arms as high as you can comfortably reach. Bend down from the waist, keeping your head aligned with your back. Inhale deeply and exhale as you slowly straighten up.

Facial massage

Using your index and thumb fingers, gently pinch along the bony ridge around your eyes, starting from the inner corner, moving toward the outer corner, and upwards along your eyebrows. Then, use your middle fingers to massage in a clockwise circular motion around your chin, the corners of your mouth, and the philtrum (the area between the nose and upper lip). Finish by massaging your temples.

Drink herbal tea

Add a teaspoon of herbal tea to a cup of hot water. Steep for 2 minutes, then sip while inhaling the steam. This is one of the most effective natural methods to combat depression.

Acupressure

Gently tapping acupressure points on the body helps release negative energy blockages. First, quickly tap up and down from the nape of the neck to the top of the head with your fingers. Then, using your knuckles, tap rhythmically on the middle of the chest in a rhythmic pattern: 1 strong tap followed by 2 lighter taps.

Self-interview

If you tend to worry and imagine the worst possible scenarios, a pen and paper can be your remedy and a way to express yourself. Complete the following sentence: “What worries me most is…”. Review your answer and ask yourself: What evidence do you have to show that the worst could happen? Is there another way to approach the situation? Now write a similar opening, but complete it with a different solution. By considering the situation rationally in this way, these questions help prevent you from turning everything into a looming disaster.

Know your limits.

Don't try to shoulder every responsibility you're asked to. Instead, guard and protect your time and energy. You'll work best when your energy is highly focused. The more scattered your energy, the more your productivity will decline. When the pressure of doing too much becomes overwhelming, tell yourself, "I need to stop!" Then, inhale, hold your breath, and count from 1 to 10. Then exhale.

Lowering body temperature through breathing

This "cool breath" technique helps counteract the stressful effects of shallow breathing: close your eyes and curl your tongue into a long tube shape, with the tip slightly protruding from your mouth. Inhale deeply and slowly through the gaps in your tongue. Exhale in the same way. Continue for 2 minutes.

Find a point of stillness.

Spinal manipulation experts believe you can create a point of stillness in the flow of fluid through the spine, temporarily halting the stress response. To find this point of stillness, place two tennis balls in a sock, tying the ends of the sock so that the two balls fit side-by-side.

Lie on the floor. Pay attention to the point where your head touches the ground. Place the sock between your head and the floor at this point. Slightly spread the balls apart, so they create enough pressure to balance your head. Rest for 2 minutes.
