This means that in the future, computer manufacturers may be able to create laptops that better support fingerprint recognition for accessing Windows, by simply touching the fingerprint directly to the touchpad.
Furthermore, since Windows 10 can also run on smartphones and tablets, mobile manufacturers can create devices that integrate fingerprint recognition capabilities.
In addition, FIDO 2.0 has also received support from several financial companies such as PayPal, allowing users to use their fingers to make online payment transactions on their computers.
FIDO is an alliance organization established in early 2013 and currently has over 100 members, including Microsoft, Google, Lenovo, LG, PayPal, and others.
