Chau Thai Commune (Quy Hop District): Striving to become a relatively prosperous unit.

(Baonghean) - During the 2010-2015 term, the Party Committee, government, and people of Chau Thai commune (Quy Hop district) strived to successfully implement the Resolution of the 20th Party Congress, achieving and exceeding many targets; economic growth was quite high, the structure of crops and livestock shifted towards efficient commodity production; infrastructure was strengthened; budget revenue was quite good, commercial services gradually developed; cultural and social activities saw many progressive changes, and the material and spiritual lives of the people were increasingly improved.

During the term, the average annual economic growth rate reached 16%. By the end of 2014, the total value of production within the commune reached 120,669 million VND, achieving 99.7% of the target; of which agricultural production value reached 57,714 million VND, accounting for 47.8%; agricultural, forestry, handicraft, and construction production value: 34,392 million VND, accounting for 28.5%; service and trade value: 28,563 million VND, accounting for 23.7%; total grain production reached 3,135.75 tons/3,185.52 tons, achieving 98.45%; average per capita income reached 15,915,000 VND/year.

Regarding the construction of new rural areas, the entire political system has been involved, and people in villages and hamlets have donated land, trees, crops, and assets for the construction of new rural areas. The number of new rural infrastructure projects contributed by the people has increased, especially roads and village cultural centers; raising the total length of concrete rural roads to 4.4 km. Several effective economic models have been replicated, such as the pig farming model in Hoc Moi and Bu Sanh hamlets, and the forest planting combined with livestock farming model in Dong Minh hamlet, Hat village, Co village, Nong On village, Muong village, etc. To date, the total cost of new rural construction has reached 5.8 billion VND, of which the people have contributed 1.8 billion VND.

Cultural, social, and national defense and security fields have received attention. The network of schools from preschool to lower secondary level has been rationally planned, meeting the needs of teaching and learning; the quality of management staff and teachers has been continuously improved; and the quality of student education has significantly improved. The "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement has gradually deepened, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​and good customs and practices of the nation, implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals, and gradually eliminating outdated customs.

Regarding primary healthcare for the people, the implementation of population policies, family planning, and the protection and care of maternal and child health has seen many positive changes. Commune health stations now have doctors, basic facilities, and medical equipment to meet the requirements for protecting, caring for, and treating the health of the people. Social policies, labor, and employment have achieved many positive results. Organizations regularly disseminate information and provide guidance to workers, helping them find reputable labor export companies to work in countries like South Korea and Japan, which offer high incomes and contribute to poverty reduction.

Regarding the development of the political system, in order for policies and resolutions to be implemented effectively, the Party Committee of the commune has consistently innovated and been creative in its dissemination and implementation... During the term, 58 new members were admitted to the Party, and 51 members were awarded badges for 30, 40, 50, and 55 years of Party membership.

For the 2015-2020 term, the Party Committee, government, and people of Chau Thai commune have set the following main targets: Total value of commune-wide production: 233,648 million VND. Of which: Value of agriculture and forestry: 109,312 million VND, accounting for 47%. Value of industry, handicrafts, and construction: 66,690 million VND, accounting for 28.5%. Value of trade, services, and transportation: 57,246 million VND, accounting for 24.5%. Average economic growth rate over 5 years: 12%/year. Striving to achieve 16 out of 19 new rural criteria by 2020; local budget revenue reaching 320 million VND; average per capita income of 45 million VND/year. Regarding culture and society: Percentage of hamlets meeting cultural standards: 14 hamlets. Percentage of culturally exemplary families: 80%. Percentage of schools meeting national standards: 3 schools = 100%. The average annual poverty reduction rate is 3%... Striving to become a relatively prosperous commune in Quy Hop district.

To achieve the targets, the Party Committee and the government of Chau Thai commune have also set forth a number of tasks and solutions: Continuing to shift the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity production with the advantages of each region and cluster.
