(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:17 PM, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province received Notice No. 2609/2023/TB-SQ dated September 26, 2023, from Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the operation of the Song Quang hydropower reservoir discharge facility.

Accordingly, to ensure the safe operation and regulation of the Song Quang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the procedures approved by the Provincial People's Committee and in line with the hydrological conditions at the site, Song Quang Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to operate and regulate the Song Quang hydropower reservoir as follows:

Expected time for operation and regulation: Starting at 2:30 AM, September 27, 2023.

Total discharge flow rate from 20 m³3/s up to 90 m3/s (Including discharge flow through the sluice gates, flow through the spillway, and flow from the generating units) and may vary depending on the amount of water flowing into the reservoir.

The discharge will end when the floodwaters have receded.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs: the People's Committee of Que Phong District; and the heads of provincial departments and agencies to notify local authorities, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vessels, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Song Quang Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
