Hung Loc Commune (Vinh City) celebrates its 60th anniversary.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 11th, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Hung Loc commune solemnly organized a ceremony to commemorate 60 years of Hung Loc commune's construction and development.

The present-day Hung Loc commune, formerly Loc Da - Duc Thinh, was one of the revolutionary cradles of Nghe An province, where the Party branch was established early and led the people in the struggle during the Nghe An - Thinh Hoa Soviet Uprising of 1930-1931. After going through various stages of development, Hung Loc commune was officially established in July 1953.
To date, Hung Loc commune has 20 hamlets with a population of over 18,000 people. The commune's Party Committee has 24 subordinate Party branches with nearly 1,000 Party members; the average growth rate in 2012 reached 7.6%; average per capita income reached nearly 24 million VND/year; the poverty rate decreased to 1.6%. Implementing the National Program on New Rural Development, Hung Loc commune is striving to complete 16 criteria by the end of 2013 and will complete 19 program targets by 2015.
