Nghi Van Commune (Nghi Loc) celebrates its 70th anniversary and receives the Certificate of recognition as a commune meeting advanced new rural standards.
On the morning of November 9, Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the commune's establishment (1954-2024) and announced the decision to recognize the commune as meeting advanced new rural standards (NTM) in 2024.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Le Doan Hop - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Nghi Loc district and Nghi Van commune.

Located in the southwest of Nghi Loc district, Nghi Van commune has a rich history and cultural tradition, having gone through many ups and downs of history with many different names.
On January 4, 1954, following the Prime Minister's Notice, Phuc Loc commune was divided into the following communes: Nghi Trung, Nghi Lien, Nghi Dien and Nghi Van. After its establishment, Nghi Van commune had 10 villages and over 2,000 people.

As a plain commune with fertile land, flat terrain, and abundant labor force, throughout the development process, together with the people of Nghi Loc district, the people of Nghi Van commune have united, both religious and non-religious people, worked together to reclaim wasteland, establish villages, fight against feudalism and foreign invaders, and build their homeland to become increasingly rich and beautiful.

At the end of the war, the homeland was severely devastated, but with the spirit of overcoming difficulties and rising up, many emulation movements were implemented, which completely changed the socio-economic face of the locality. Nghi Van became a key commune in food production of Nghi Loc district. With great achievements in the two resistance wars and building socialism, the Party Committee and people of Nghi Van commune were honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the State, many Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags from the Government and the Provincial People's Committee.
Today, in the process of building a new rural area, the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghi Van commune have promoted their traditions, united and successfully completed the socio-economic development goals. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture and increasing the proportion of industry, construction and commercial services.

By the end of 2024, the average economic growth rate of the commune will reach 12%; total production value will reach 758 million VND, an increase of 262 million VND compared to the beginning of the Congress term. Average income per capita will reach 58 million VND/year.
Agricultural production continues to develop steadily, with a rice growing area of over 500 hectares, and a large-scale field model has been formed. Maximizing the community's internal strength, investing in synchronous infrastructure in a modern direction, with resources of over 150 billion VND to build and renovate cultural houses and public entertainment facilities, educational facilities, transportation, and irrigation.
The fields of culture, health, education and social security are guaranteed. Up to now, 3/3 schools in the commune have been recognized as meeting national standards. Health care for the people has been effectively implemented, maintaining the title of a commune meeting national standards in health from 2012 to present.

The movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life” associated with the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas has been focused on and its value has been promoted; the rate of cultural villages has reached 100%; the rate of families achieving the title of cultural family has reached 96%. The movement of culture, arts, physical education and sports has developed extensively; for a long time, each hamlet has established mass art teams, football teams, volleyball teams, and folk dance clubs. The rate of people in the commune participating in sports activities has reached about 53%; the rate of sports families has reached 43%.
The work of "Repaying gratitude" is regularly concerned. Vocational training and job creation meet the needs of the people. Up to now, there are no more hungry households in the commune, the poverty rate is 2.3%; the number of well-off and rich households is increasing, ensuring that the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved.
The environmental landscape has been improved in conjunction with the management of natural resources and the environment. 15/15 hamlets have maintained good organization of waste collection and classification and have signed contracts with environmental service units to transport waste to treatment sites. The "Green Sunday" movement has received widespread support and active response from the people.

The political security, order and social safety situation in the area is maintained stably. The commune has built model points on: "All people protect national security", "Security camera" model, "Drug-free commune" model...
With the achievements, in August 2024, Nghi Van commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting advanced NTM standards. This is a recognition and a noble reward for the people and cadres of the commune, and at the same time, a great encouragement and motivation for Nghi Van commune to continue to promote and achieve even higher results in the coming time.
