(Baonghen.vn) - On the morning of September 26, at Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan district, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghia Khanh commune held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting New Rural Standards (NTM) in 2015 awarded by the Provincial People's Committee.

Implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, Nghia Khanh commune, although facing many difficulties due to low starting demand and low income, thanks to solutions to mobilize people and gain support from superiors, Nghia Khanh has mobilized a total budget of 438.5 billion VND to implement the criteria, the investment budget has integrated 111.3 billion VND of capital from the programs; mobilized people to renovate houses and contribute to building roads, building cultural houses and stadiums; 3/3 schools in the area have met national standards. Currently, in addition to 17/17 hamlets having cultural houses, 14 hamlets have been recognized as Cultural Villages. The number of poor households has decreased to 4.91%, the number of well-off households has increased, in 2015 the average income per capita reached 21 million; the cultural and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved.

Speaking at the ceremony to recognize the achievement of NTM standards, on behalf of the Provincial Steering Committee on NTM construction, comrade Nguyen Si Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghia Khanh commune, especially the solidarity of the people, effectively integrating state resources into the implementation of NTM criteria; at the same time, he suggested that the commune and district need to organize well the transfer of technology and scientific and technical applications to improve crop productivity, pay attention to organizing more and more production models to effectively exploit the local land potential, increase income and create jobs for the people; continue to launch the emulation movement to build NTM to improve the quality of criteria, contributing to the district and the province to complete the national goal of building NTM as set out on the roadmap.
