Nghia Son Commune (Nghia Dan) invests 96.3 billion VND to build New Rural Areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 25, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghia Son commune (Nghia Dan) held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the commune's establishment and announce the achievement of New Rural Area (NTM) standards in 2016. Attending the ceremony were representatives of Nghia District leaders.a Group and representatives of some neighboring communes.

Representatives of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghia Dan district attended the ceremony to announce the achievement of New Rural standards in Nghia Son commune.

Nghia Son Commune was officially separated from the Farm Town Committee in 1995. After 20 years of construction and development, the most notable of which is the last 5 years, the commune has focused and devoted its efforts to successfully implement the national target program on building new rural areas.

Despite its low starting point, thanks to its ability to mobilize people's strength and make good use of support resources, the commune has mobilized 96,334 billion VND to implement 19/19 NTM criteria. From a commune with difficulties due to lack of production land and unemployment, Nghia Son has risen to become a bright spot in economic restructuring of Nghia Dan district, with many high-income production models established in the area.

Authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Le Hong Son - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district awarded the Certificate of recognition of meeting the new rural standards and a gift of a project worth 500 million VND to Nghia Son commune.

Thanks to the mobilization of investment and support resources, the infrastructure of transportation, electricity grid and cultural institutions in residential areas have been significantly improved and raised; in just the past 5 years, the average income per capita has doubled, from 17.2 million in 2011 to 36 million in 2016; the poor household rate is only about 2%.

Comrade Le Hong Son - Chairman of Nghia Dan District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 8 collectives and individuals with achievements in the emulation movement to build new rural areas.

The 20th anniversary of the commune's establishment and the reception of the Certificate of recognition for meeting the new rural standards is an opportunity for the Party Committee, the government and the people of Nghia Son to review the past development journey; summarize experiences to find solutions to continue to develop the socio-economy in the new period.

Representatives of Nghia Dan district leaders presented a gift of a project worth 100 million VND from the district People's Committee to Nghia Son commune.
