To avoid cross-infection in the centralized quarantine area, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of the commune has requisitioned the abandoned houses of people working far away or the houses of people who mainly live on rafts on the Nam Non River to serve as quarantine areas. Each house like that usually quarantines 2-3 people. They are mainly people in the same family or those who work together and return to the village. At these quarantine points, the Commune Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee regularly assigns commune officials and the Village Management Board to be on duty to remind quarantined people to follow the "5K" and ensure safety in the quarantine area. The quarantined people will wait until the on-duty officers leave before going out to get food to bring in. “They are also very shy about being in close contact with the on-duty officers, so they have to keep an eye on each other. The stilt houses are spacious, so they feel more comfortable and secure in quarantine,” said a manager of Pung Bon village. Photo: Dao Tho |
