Quynh Ba Commune (Quynh Luu): Dynamically building new rural areas

(Baonghean) - In August, in the atmosphere of the whole country eagerly looking forward to the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the people of Quynh Ba (Quynh Luu) have a new joy when the commune is preparing to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting new rural standards. This is a proud achievement after 6 years of efforts by the Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Ba commune.

Solving jobs from many industries

Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Linh is actively directing all preparations for the important day of the locality: Receiving the Certificate of New Rural Commune (NTM) standards on August 19. Therefore, he assigned the staff in charge of NTM to take us to visit the countryside with many changes. He led us on clean concrete roads through residential areas. Along both sides, there were spacious high-rise tiled-roof houses. Every person we met clearly showed pride in their homeland that was on the path of change.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Khang, an officer in charge of new rural construction of the commune, said: Quynh Ba has National Highway 48B and Provincial Road 537B passing through, convenient for exchange, trading services, and travel between the communes in the coastal areas and the district center, creating conditions for many households to trade and develop handicrafts for high income. The handicraft carpentry, mechanical, welding, aluminum and glass production... make many diverse products, serving the production and construction needs of people inside and outside the commune. Many businesses providing grocery services, animal feed, and restaurants are also appearing more and more, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers.

In addition, the locality has also had the strength to develop poultry and waterfowl farming for decades. Currently, the locality has 12 farms raising ducks and chickens and specializes in producing breeding animals to supply markets inside and outside the district. Therefore, in addition to income from rice cultivation, people here also have high income from raising livestock.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Khang enthusiastically led us to visit Mr. Phan Van Thang's duck farm in Hamlet 2. This is the largest duck farm in Quynh Ba area at present. After passing the dike, we entered Mr. Thang's duck farm. Before our eyes were 2 pond systems combining duck farming and fish farming, in the row of level 4 houses were 8 egg incubators, some workers were actively stacking and turning eggs.

Mr. Thang said that the farm currently has 4,000 laying ducks, each day the farm sells nearly 1,000 ducklings and hundreds of duck eggs to the market, creating regular jobs for 3 workers. In addition to the main income from raising ducklings, Mr. Thang also takes advantage of the pond system to raise fish, each year also has a good income. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Chung's household, in Hamlet 1, is known by many people for his chicken and duck farm. Investing hundreds of millions of VND to build barns and install cooling systems, provide drinking water, food... Mr. Trung's chicken and duck flock always maintains around 2,000 birds, producing tens of thousands of chickens and ducks each month, creating jobs for family members.

Building new rural areas from people's consensus

Mr. Nguyen Van Linh - Chairman of Quynh Ba Commune People's Committee, excitedly said: The movement "Quynh Ba joins hands to build new rural areas" has a wide influence, creating a strong driving force for the implementation of the goals. The commune's way of doing things is to give strong and specific directions in the roadmap for building new rural areas; assign tasks to each department, the function of which department, which branch belongs to which criteria must focus on directing, regularly report the results and problems that need to be resolved to the Party Committee and the commune government.

Since then, rural infrastructure has changed rapidly, with investment in transportation, irrigation, electricity, schools, medical stations, etc. on a solid roadmap. Cultural institutions at the grassroots level have been strengthened, traditional culture has been restored, the appearance of the countryside has changed, people from all walks of life have agreed, contributed labor, money, donated land, etc., and voluntarily dismantled constructions to build the new rural area.

Over the past 6 years, with the spirit of solidarity, proactive creativity, overcoming all difficulties and challenges of the collective cadres, party members and people of the commune, with the help of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and superior departments and organizations, Quynh Ba has achieved many results in many aspects: Ensuring scientific nature in the overall planning of socio-economic development of the locality at present and in the future.

Orienting economic sectors and key industries to focus on effective investment and development. Essential infrastructures such as markets, transportation, irrigation, education, healthcare, and cultural facilities are being built and improved. Environmental sanitation is getting more attention from each citizen, becoming increasingly green and clean. The face of the countryside has changed dramatically, and people's lives have improved both materially and spiritually. Political security, social order and safety are stable, and social evils are being pushed back. People are happy and excited, striving to build a new life that is increasingly beautiful and civilized.

For Quynh Ba to achieve the standard of a new rural commune, the lesson that the locality has learned after 6 years of implementation is the synchronous participation of the entire local political system from commune to village and the consensus and support of all the people. On that basis, promote the strength of national solidarity, mobilize all resources to the maximum in the process of building a new rural area; create a breakthrough in socio-economic development.
