(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 15, Quynh Thang commune (Quynh Luu) held a ceremony to receive the commune meeting new rural standards and the Secondary School received the National Standard Level 1 Certificate and the Certificate of Recognition of the Craft Village for Processing Raw Materials and Producing Incense in Village 2.

Quynh Thang is a mountainous commune in Region II located in the Northwest of Quynh Luu district. After 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, the local appearance has changed completely. The technical infrastructure and socio-economic infrastructure of the commune have been invested synchronously and completed, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, serving the development of production and people's lives. The total investment resources for new rural construction in the commune are more than 476 billion VND; of which, people contributed funds, donated land, works, trees and invested in house renovation of more than 279 billion VND...

The economic structure continues to shift in the right direction, the average economic growth rate reaches over 8.7%, the average income per capita reaches 37.75 million VND/year, the poverty rate is only 2.5%; 3/4 schools in the area meet national standards; 12/14 villages meet cultural standards; the rate of cultural families reaches 97.5%; Political security, order and social safety are maintained, the material and spiritual life of the people is improved. The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations have achieved the title of clean, strong and excellently advanced.
The Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Thang commune strive to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2025; Average economic growth rate of 9 - 9.5%; Average income per capita reaching 62 - 63 million VND/year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ho Phi Trieu highly appreciated the results that Quynh Thang commune has achieved in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development. He requested the Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Thang commune to continue to mobilize resources together with people's contributions to continue investing in the rural traffic system and constructing and upgrading other infrastructure works.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ho Phi Trieu awarded the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting new rural standards to Quynh Thang commune and awarded 500 million VND to the commune to build welfare works; at the same time awarded the Certificate of recognition of meeting national standards level 1 to the Secondary School and the Certificate of recognition of the Craft Village for processing raw materials and producing incense in village 2, Quynh Thang commune.
