The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at the Inland Regional Center, an agency that supports people with disabilities in Riverside and Bernardino, according to the LATimes.

Keith Nelson, vice president of the center's board of directors, said a group of people he believed were "district employees" with no connection to the center were having a party when the incident occurred.

Authorities described the suspects as wearing camouflage clothing, masks and possibly carrying long guns, not handguns.

In addition to the 14 people killed, 14 others were injured, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said at a news conference. He said the suspects left the building, possibly fleeing in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.

Mr. Burguan also added that authorities have not yet investigated the motive behind the attack.

"We have no information to suggest that this is terrorism-related," he said. "Certainly, we have at least a local terrorism situation here."

A manhunt has been launched for the three suspects. San Bernardino police opened fire and stopped a black SUV. One suspect has been shot dead, one has been arrested and the other is still on the run, according to Fox News.
