Shooting at cinema in Germany, many casualties
An armed man opened fire at a cinema in Viernheim, western Germany, injuring one person, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, citing police sources.

According to the newspaper, a man entered the cinema at around 3:00 p.m. local time with a gun in his hand. Witnesses heard gunshots and people were injured, but it was not clear how many. The newspaper said the gunman was wearing a mask.
According to Bild, moviegoers panicked and fled the cinema.
The shooter is hiding in the building. Police have cordoned off the area near the cinema. Other details were not released.
