Thinh Son Commune - Do Luong reaches the New Rural Finish Line
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 20, Thinh Son commune - Do Luong held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for the commune meeting New Rural standards in 2014.Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Ho Lam - Deputy Head of the Office - Steering Committee of the Provincial New Rural Program, representatives of departments and branches of the province, leaders of Do Luong district, and many local people.

After more than 4 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the Party Committee, government and people of Thinh Son-Do Luong commune have joined hands and unanimously completed 19/19 criteria on new rural construction. To achieve these results, cadres and party members have been exemplary in leading emulation movements; people have voluntarily donated land and hundreds of works on land to improve rural traffic. In 2014, Thinh Son's total social income reached 186.9 billion VND, with an average income of 34 million VND/person/year, and the poverty rate has decreased to 4%.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Ho Lam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the New Rural Program awarded the Certificate of National Standard Unit for New Rural Areas to the officials and people of Thinh Son - Do Luong commune. On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Thinh Son new rural commune a welfare project worth 500 million VND. Do Luong District People's Committee also awarded Thinh Son commune 100 million VND, and presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the National Target Program for New Rural Areas.
