The 12 teams participating in the 2023 National U21 Championship Finals have been determined.
(Baonghean.vn) - After the 2023 U21 National Championship qualifiers concluded, the tournament organizers determined the 12 teams participating in the finals. Among them, U21 Thanh Hoa and U21 Song Lam Nghe An will participate as co-hosts.
The 2023 National U21 Championship qualifiers concluded on the afternoon of September 13th, determining the 12 outstanding teams that will participate in the finals, competing from September 18th to October 1st.
Five teams secured their places one round before the end of the qualifying round: Viettel, Hanoi (Group A), Kon Tum, Da Nang (Group B), and Ho Chi Minh City (Group D). On the afternoon of September 13th, the final round of qualifying matches determined the remaining five teams that will participate in the finals. These are Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Long An, PVF-CAND, and Tay Ninh.
Of these, the two co-hosting teams that did not have to participate in the qualifying round were able to advance directly to the next round: U21 Thanh Hoa andU21 Song Lam Nghe An.
Thus, the 12 teams that qualified for the National U21 Finals are: Viettel, Hanoi, PVF-CAND (Group A); Kon Tum, Da Nang (Group B); Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Tay Ninh (Group C); Ho Chi Minh City, Long An (Group D) along with the two co-host teams Thanh Hoa and Song Lam Nghe An.
In the Finals, 12 teams will be drawn into 3 groups, with 4 teams in each group. Groups A and B will compete in Thanh Hoa, and Group C will compete in Nghe An. The draw will take place on September 16th. The Finals will be held from September 18th to October 1st.
